Last week we were granted the final planning permission for the house and it came through on the date given! Which was not expected, but very welcome!

While waiting for this we had been getting on with preparing the site. We have built retaining walls on the mooring to flatten an area for a patio, started putting in raised beds for a vegetable plot (in a space that will not be disturbed by the building work) and erecting a site hut and welfare unit. So we have not been idle.

We have allowed ourselves some leisure time and, among other things, have been out walking with the local rambling club. This has been a lovely chance to explore the area and get to know people.
